Yes, yes, of course we have our phones and tablets, and we can get news, radio, and alerts… but I believe in careful redundancy, and if cell service fails, I want to know I can get weather reports, news, and more… that’s why I bought the Eton Elite Field radio that can capture AM, FM, and shortwave broadcasts, and best of all, runs on batteries or household current.
Some might consider these “nice to have” but we consider them “essential.” Sure, you can use your phone, but with the voice-actuation feature, these work a lot like a phone and we are not dependent on sometimes spotty cell service. Good range, water resistant, NOAA Weather & Alert function, rechargeable, flashlight function, and more.
The Streamlight 44931 LED Lantern provides up to 540 Lumens and can be adjusted to give off regular white light, or night vision-preserving red light, runs on three regular D cell batteries, and is IPX7 waterproof to 1 meter. It is built tough, and can also be set to flash in SOS mode (I hope you never need that!). In its highest output mode, it will run up to 30 hours before the batteries give out. We have two of these!

Who Wants A Leak In Their RV?
There may be more breeds of wheel chocks than breeds of dogs. These are “real.” They are made of heavy solid rubber. There’s not much else to say. Get two packs of two for about $32.
These silicon hose washers are simply amazing. I have a hose-end sprayer that has leaked since I bought it... no matter what brand of conventional off-the-shelf rubber hose washer I put in, it still leaked. After installing one of these silicon washers, no leaking! First time! I have now replaced every rubber washer in the ends of hoses, sprinklers, and even the “Y” connector at the faucet... not one leak! And you may think the large package size is unnecessary, but the washers are enclosed in a little plastic box that stows easily... you will have washers for a long time, and they will work great! Quit reading and just go ahead and order them... you won’t be disappointed.
